David Crystal is a leading expert on language. Professor of Linguistic Science at the University of Reading for 10 years, he is currently Honorary Professor of Linguistics at the University of Wales, Bangor. A disciple and collaborator of Professor Randolph Quirk, he is the author of over 100 books[1] including The Cambridge Encyclopaedia of the English Language.
