Randolph Quirk

Randolph Quirk CBE FBA (/rændɒlf kwɜ:k/; 1920–2017) was a British linguist.[1]
A professor at University College, London, he led the UCL Survey of English Usage corpus based in the Department of English Language and Literature at that university.
