Teflpedia:Wikitext
Wikitext /wɪkɪtekst/ is the markup language that MediaWiki uses to render pages. As such, it is the default content model used in Teflpedia.
What can be done with Wikitext[edit source]
This supports various important elements, including:
- Text formatting.
- Links.
- Media, including Images and Video.
Why wikitext is important[edit source]
Familiarity with wikitext is important for editors, especially those who edit raw and don’t use the clunky VisualEditor.
<nowiki> tag[edit source]
An important tag is the <nowiki> tag, which stops text enclosed within the tags from being rendered either as Wikitext or HTML. This is useful when giving examples of coded wikitext.
