The content of error notation is transcluded from Asterisk. Template:Wrong links to error notation instead of to Asterisk so that "Asterisk (example of wrong language"--which is more explanatory than simply displaying "Asterisk"--will be the hover text on the template's asterisk link. --Roger 23:43, 16 October 2012 (CDT)

Why not call it "error notation"? It's more logical, and not only asterisks are used. Duncan (talk) 06:43, 15 July 2019 (UTC)
