Spelling pronunciation is the tendency for the pronunciation of words with irregular spelling/irregular pronunciation to be regularised so that pronunciation conforms to the spelling.[1]

A few examples

  • herb in BrE is pronounced with the /h/, historically not present.
  • hotel was originally pronounced 'otel similar to French.
  • balm
  • [add more]

It's essentially opposed to pronunciation spelling which is basically the opposite.
