Poverty (/pɒvəti/) is not having enough material possessions or income for a person's needs.[1] Poverty is a multifaceted concept, which may include social, economic, and political elements.

Education of children in poverty is an issue for ELT, particularly for immigrant children to English-speaking countries.

Unfortunately, poverty may also be an issue for teachers, particularly in areas where wages are low but living costs are high, e.g. London.

We also have some poverty conversation questions.
