Debate:Musical ability influences language learning
The ongoing debate as to whether musical ability influences language learning is one that affects both students and teachers. Where do you stand on this issue?
Basically, the argument is that as "language and music are both associated with emotions" and "similar areas of the brain are activated when listening to or playing music and speaking or processing language" music plays an important role in language.

- My opinion is that music definitely helps language acquisition abilities, especially if it's repetitive and simple. Something like a nursery rhyme or a hymn will do. I learned Navajo that way, after all.--Odin (talk) 09:40, 13 December 2018 (UTC)
