A middle school classroom in China, 2006, with a teacher teaching English.

A classroom (/klæsru:m/) is a physical space where classes are taught. This is typically a room in a school, but could be elsewhere, for example in a private home or a cafe.

Teachers may have their own personal classroom, or share space with other teachers. There may be opportunities to decorate the classroom appropriately.

The classroom layout of chairs and desks is also important.
