Breaking News English [1] is a website run and created by Sean Banville which provides free teaching materials every three days. Lessons are based on the day's current news.

There is a 13-page printable handout as a MS Word DOC or PDF download. Each lesson also has a listening component, available as an MP3 file. You can also subscribe to the podcast. Additionally, an archive of all the podcasts and associated materials is on the site. The conversation questions generated by these podcasts are also available at the associated conversation questions site.

The content is generally quite useful for teachers in a hurry to prepare a class.
