Adjective concord

Adjective concord is concord of adjectives when they have to agree with the nouns they modify. This is not present in English grammar; when very occasionally found it is usually the result of French or Latin loan phrases.

In French, adjectives show both number concord and gender concord. For example:

Masculine Feminine
Singular le petit prince la petite princesse
Plural les petits princes les petites princesses

Potential source of error

This may be a potential source of error, particularly if students' L1 is a language that shows adjective concord.
