A vowel digraph is a digraph vowel phonogram that represents a vowel sound.

As there are 5 English vowel letters, there are 52 = 25 possible vowel digraphs, though some combinations are not used. With Magic E there are an additional split vowel digraphs.

English has two types of vowel digraph; unsplit vowel digraphs and split vowel digraphs.
