Twitter

From Teflpedia

Twitter (/twɪtə/) is an online news and social networking service on which users post and interact with short messages known as "tweets" (/twi:ts/).[1]

Tweets are a genre.

Some important leaders in the ELT industry have Twitter feeds, such as Scott Thornbury, and they’re worth following. The hashtags #ELTchat and #langchat are commonly used.

It’s blocked in China, and is also commonly used by right-wing racists to spread hate.[2][3] This aspect is likely to worsen after its takeover in 2022 by a private individual.
