Turned R

From Teflpedia

Turned R is an extension of the Latin alphabet, consisting of a turned (upside down) letter R:

ɹ ɹ

The letter on the left is a capital R, the one on the right is a lower case; they just appear the same.

It’s used in strict IPA to represent a voiced alveolar approximant [ɹ] in phonetic notation, but this is usually just written /r/ when referring to English in phonemic notation.
