Thousands separator

From Teflpedia

A thousands separator is a symbol used to separate thousands in large numbers.[1]

For example, the number 6435833 can be hard to read unless it is separated; 6,435,833.

In English-speaking countries, it’s customary to use either a comma or space to separate large numbers. We don’t generally use a comma as a decimal separator, so it’s available. For clarity, it may be best to use a space, since that cannot be misinterpreted as a decimal separator.
