The English Spelling Society
The English Spelling Society (TESS) "aims to raise awareness of the problems caused by the irregularity of English spelling and to promote remedies to improve literacy".
Created in 1908 (as the Simplified Spelling Society), it publishes all sorts of material to promote spelling reform of the English language. The usefulness of this to English language learners may be disputed, given that they have to deal with the real world and not the unrealistic fantasies of spelling reformists.
