Testing is a process of measuring the traits of test takers. Testing is part of assessment. It is conducted using tests.
In our context, testing is focused primarily on language testing, which in particular involves assessing EFL learners for their language proficiency. It can also involve testing for language aptitude.
Testing may be high-stakes testing or low-stakes testing (see test stakes).
