Talk:TEFLChina email list

From Teflpedia

Yahoo Groups is closing. I guess people tend to use Facebook now, or LinkedIn for more professional discourse; part of the natural evolution of the Internet. Are you a subscriber or reader, user:Roger? The other wiki has entries on Yahoo! Groups, and electronic mailing list. Does Teflpedia really need this page? I'm not sure we can cover each and every defunct mailing list -- Duncan (talk) 04:18, 13 October 2020 (UTC)

Hi Duncan. Well, indeed. However, yes, we can cover this one. At least for now. I co-founded the TEFLChina email list 24 years ago. So I don't mind curating this one page myself, for now. Thank you for noticing. --Roger (talk) 06:37, 13 October 2020 (UTC)
Yes, I see. How many members are there? What's the average number of posts per day? What do you discuss? --Duncan (talk) 13:59, 13 October 2020 (UTC)
No posts anymore. At it's prime 900 members and several posts a day. Any member could post but only topically and civilly. It was moderated. Come to think of it, the email list will probably simply close with the close of Yahoogroups. Why not? Perhaps this page will vanish soon, too. Buzz. ;) --Roger (talk) 23:52, 13 October 2020 (UTC)
OK, so there are 0 posts per day, 0 active members. While this Facebook group has 22,300 members and on average 15-20 posts per day.--Duncan (talk) 03:31, 14 October 2020 (UTC)
