Steven Pinker (/sti:vən piŋkə(r)/) is a Canadian linguist who is a leading authority on language and cognition. After working at the Department of Brain and Cognitive Sciences at MIT, he became the Johnstone Family Professor in the Department of Psychology at Harvard University.
