Spelling reformer

From Teflpedia

A spelling reformer is a successful spelling reformist.

While there are many spelling reformists, only a small proportion of them actually become spelling reformers.

Probably the most successful spelling reformer in the history of English is Noah Webster, who unilaterally changed spellings of some words, some of which were accepted on both sides of the Atlantic, some on only the American side, and some not at all.
