From Teflpedia

Sight (/saɪt/) or visual perception (//) is the sense of the ability to see.[1]

For most people this is important not only for reading (though alternatives are available, notably Braille and screen reader software), but also of secondary importance for listening (lip-reading) and for appreciation of certain contextual information.

People may need glasses, perhaps only for reading. Adaptations to courses may be necessary for visually impaired students. Teaching visually impaired students is a specialism[2]

Sight is a homophone with "site"
