Sherlock Holmes

Sherlock Holmes (/ʃɜ:lɒk həʊmz/) is a fictional detective character created by Arthur Conan Doyle[1] who featured in 56 short stories and four novels published between 1887 and 1927.
Holmesian fiction is popular subject for graded readers, e.g. Black Cat[2], MacMillan[3], Pearson[4], etc.
There have also been TV and movie adaptations. The TV series with Jeremy Brett is fairly faithful to the original text.
