Semantic set

From Teflpedia

A semantic set (/səmæntɪk set/) is a form of lexical set where the members of the set are semantically linked.

A simple example would be colours, e.g. black, blue, green, grey, orange, pink, purple, red, white, yellow.

There may be subsets, e.g. black, grey and white.

It is generally recognised that it's important for students to learn words in semantic sets together.
