A related language is a language that’s related to another language; in our context, that’s going to be related to English.
In most cases, these languages share some language features with English.
So we can say, in Teflpedia for example, that a particular feature is found “in English and related languages” and while we concentrate on describing English, something similar also applies in these other languages. This may make it easier for speakers of related languages to speak English.
