Regulated Qualifications Framework

From Teflpedia

The Ofqual Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) is a qualifications framework used in the UK that frameworks the difficulty level and typical study time necessary for various different qualifications.[1]

There are 8 levels, numbered 1–8, supported by three lower entry levels.

Teaching qualifications fit into this framework, with, for example, CELTA being a level 5 qualification, and a DELTA a level 7 qualification.

This applies to England and Wales by Ofqual and is also used in Northern Ireland. It’s not used in Scotland, where the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework applies.

The RQF replaced the Qualifications and Credit Framework, and National Qualifications Framework in October 2015.
