Present participial adverb
A present participial adverb is a participial adverb and -ing form that is used as an adverb. It is derived both from a verb by adding the suffix -ingly (in a few cases with some minor spelling changes) and from a present participial adjective by adding the morpheme -ly.
For example "amazingly" in "Amazingly, she won".
"Cunningly" is an example of an adverb that was derived from a verb which has fallen out of use.
