A plural noun, often known simply as a plural, is a noun that has plural grammatical number.
English distinguishes between two types of singular noun based on meaning. Count plurals can be counted. Uncountable plurals cannot be counted.
Plurals may be regular plurals, which take plural {-s} ending. Irregular plurals do not follow this pattern and are irregular.
