Plural ‑en

From Teflpedia

Plural {‑en} is an English plural suffix; it’s used in a few words, mainly the word child-children.[1][2]

It’s also used in ox-oxen and brother-brethren (brother also has a more common regular plural brothers), but these are not especially relevant to EFL learners.

Some wags use boxen as the plural of box.

Not to be confused with diminutive ‑en.
