OSV word order

From Teflpedia

OSV word order or object-subject-verb is a word order which is sometimes used in English, particularly with questions with be and relative clauses.

  • e.g. "Are you happy?" - a be question.
  • e.g. in the sentence "This is the book that I wrote", the first clause follows the usual SVO word order but the subsequent relative clause "that I wrote" follows OSV word order.
