Monitoring students

Monitoring students is a classroom management technique to check students are doing a task.[1]
Active monitoring involves going round and looking over students' shoulders at what they’re doing. Passive monitoring involves doing similar but from a distance.
- To check that they are completing the task as instructed
- To give support and assistance, noting any problems that can be discussed as teachable moments.
