Manner clause

A manner clause is an adverbial clause that expresses manner, i.e. how something happens.
We can use
- as
- as if
- as though
- as + adverb + as
For example:

as | “He spent a lot of money as he was very rich |
as + adverb + as | “We did it as quietly as we could" |
as if | “He spent a lot of money as if he were very rich.” |
