Learner dependency

Learner dependency is the extent to which learners depend on a teacher for support. This is the opposite of learner autonomy.
Low-level students are often quite dependent on the teacher but gradually become less dependent as they improve. This is also true for young learners are often highly dependent whereas adult learners are less dependent.
