Interrogative noun phrase

From Teflpedia

An interrogative noun phrase is an interrogative phrase formed from a noun phrase.

In English, these consist of either:

  1. An independent interrogative pronoun (mainly what, which, who or whose), which acts as the syntactic head of the phrase.
  2. A dependent interrogative pronoun (what, which or whose) acting as a determiner within a noun phrase, e.g. which horse, what one, whose son, that determine the syntactic head of the phrase.
