Inflection
From Teflpedia
Inflection (also spelt inflexion in British English) has two meanings in language teaching:
- morphological inflection — a change in the form of a word (typically the ending) to express a grammatical function or attribute such as inflected tense, mood, person, number, case, and gender.[1]
- inflection (pronunciation) — a variation in intonation or pitch of the voice.
