The indicative (/ɪnˈdɪkətɪv/) or indicative mood (/ɪnˈdɪkətɪv mu:d/) is a grammatical mood that occurs in English. It might be considered the default mood, since it deals with things that are real[1], unlike the subjunctive or the imperative moods.
The indicative mood can be split into two submoods; the declarative mood (used for statements) and the interrogative (used for questions).
