Heritage language

From Teflpedia

A heritage language is a minority language learned by its speakers at home as children, but never fully developed because of insufficient language input from the social environment.[1]

English is rarely a heritage language, but heritage language speakers often learn English as an additional language, especially children of immigrants into English-speaking countries.
