From Teflpedia

A header (/hedər/) is a phrase (potentially a single word phrase), commonly a noun or noun phrasein which the information is given, but subsequently anaphorically referred to by a pronoun.[1]

For example;

  • "Mrs Maggs, she went on holiday to India this year.”

This is common in speech but not so much writing,

Contrast tail.

Do not confuse with head.
