Greek plural

A Greek plural is a plural formed according to the rules of Ancient Greek. Some of these are also technically Latin plurals as they are forms originally loaned from Greek into Latin.

  • Ending -is -es, e.g. thesis, theses.
  • Ending -on, -a. e.g. criterion - criteria
  • Ending -ma, -mata, e.g. stigma-stigmata, dogma-dogmata, stoma-stomata
