George Bernard Shaw
George Bernard Shaw (/ʤɔ:ʤ bɜ:nəd ʃɔ:/ 1856-1950) was an Irish playwright, critic, polemicist and political activist.
Shaw is also not responsible for ghoti, though he may have popularised it. He is responsible for Henry Higgins, a comedic character who is an elocution and pronunciation teacher and linguistics professor.
Most of his works will enter the public domain soon.
