Fossilised error

From Teflpedia

A fossilised error or fossilized error (/fɒsɪlaɪzd erər/) is an error made by learners where incorrect language becomes a habit and cannot easily be corrected.[1]

Fossilised errors have to be unlearnt.

The process that leads to fossilised errors is called fossilisation.
