Dependent demonstrative pronoun

From Teflpedia

A dependent demonstrative, is a demonstrative pronoun that acts as a determiner to syntactically determine a bare noun phrase.

In English, these are as follows:

Type Singular Plural
Near this these
Far that those

For example, this chair or that girl.

In traditional grammar these are known as a demonstrative adjectives, although there is a problem with this given that they are not really adjectives, but pronouns.
