David Wilkins

David Wilkins (/deɪvɪd wɪlkɪnz/) or D.A. Wilkins is Professor Emeritus of Linguistics at the University of Reading.
Wilkins was the Secretary of the first Executive Committee of the British Association for Applied Linguistics at its founding at Reading, in 1967, and whose chairman was Pit Corder.[1]
According to Ingrid Freebairn, quoted on Scott Thornbury’s blog, Wilkins was also a major inspiration for the Strategies series.[2]
