Countable singular
From Teflpedia
A countable singular is a noun that is countable and singular.
In English these nouns often take an indefinite article as a determiner (e.g. A house is expensive) or the number one in a similar role, (e.g. one house is expensive). The indefinite article may be substituted for other determiners, e.g. my house is expensive or the house is expensive, in which case although grammatically marked as singular, it’s not grammatically marked as being countable.
