Compound verb

A compound verb is a verb which is composed of two verbs or a noun and a verb, etc., but which has a single meaning. Many, but not all, are hyphenated.

Examples include double-book; double-check; double-click; double-cross; double-declutch; jump-start; overbook; overdo; overdress; push-start; roller-coaster (or roller-coast); spin-dry; spoon-feed; underpay;
