Comma

From Teflpedia

A comma (/kɒmə/) is a punctuation mark.[1]

See Oxford comma, comma splice, run-on sentence.

Some style guides can be rather strict with comma placement; others more lax. The general advice “if you feel it needs a comma, put one in” is a good rule of thumb that works most of the time.

In common with other punctuation marks, commas need to be placed next to the word they follow. Chinese learners often have a habit of putting a space before a comma, and start the next word without a space *like ,this rather than next to the previous word. This looks awful.
