Cedilla

From Teflpedia

The cedilla is a diacritic occasionally used in English, consisting of a "hook" or "tail" added to the bottom of a letter, i.e. "¸.”

The cedilla is nearly always used with C to make Ç. It’s mostly used in French loanwords, e.g. façade, and even then may be omitted, e.g. facade. It’s also used in Portuguese, and there may be Portuguese loanwords with it in, (examples?). It’s also added to S to make Ş in other languages that don’t commonly loan to English; and even to other letters in other languages.
