Bleed

From Teflpedia
A bleeding finger.

Bleed (/bli:d/) is an English verb.

Bleed is an irregular lexical verb; it has the third person form “bleeds" (/bli:dz/), the -ing form “bleeding,” but the irregular preterite and past participle “bled" (/bled/). The last may be over‑regularised to *"bleeded.”

Note that this pattern is the same as breed, feed, the pronunciation pattern is also similar to lead and read.
