Bind (/baɪnd/) is an English verb meaning "to tie"[1]

Bind is an irregular lexical verb - it has the third person form "binds", the -ing form "binding" but the irregular preterite and past participle "bound" (/baʊnd/). The last may be over-regularised to *"binded". This pattern is similar to find, grind and wind (turn).

Bind forms a multi-word verb be bound to.
