Albert Mehrabian

Albert Mehrabian (born 1939) is the Professor Emeritus of Psychology at the University of California.

He is best known for his work on the importance of verbal and non-verbal messages in human communication. His work has been frequently quoted, and equally frequently over-interpreted, to mean that the largest part of human communication is non-verbal.

Apart from numerous papers his work is also set out in his book Silent Messages.[1]
