Affix

From Teflpedia

An affix (/æfɪks/) is a morpheme that is attached to a word stem to form a new word or word form.[1] They can be subdivided into adfixes and infixes, the former being further subdivided into prefixes, and suffixes.

Infixes are generally uncommon in English, however adfixes are very common.
