An adjectival (/æʤektaɪvəl/) or adjectival phrase (/æʤektaɪvəl freɪz/) is a phrase (which may be a single word phrase) that acts as a adjective, i.e. to modify a noun.[1] It is a type of modifier.

In some analyses, noun modifiers (e.g. "mango juice") are considered adjectivals, in others not.
